Drama and Music!
The 2020 Books competitions (Fiction, History, Biography, Poetry and General Nonfiction) ended on October 1, 2019. Book components of otherwise complete entries were accepted until October 15. Books slated for publication in the final quarter of the year must have been submitted in galley, page proof or bound manuscript form by the deadline. We are unable to accept unsolicited books or deadline dispensation requests at this time.
The 2020 Drama and Music competitions ended at 5:00 p.m. EST on December 31.
The entry site will reopen for the 2021 cycle in May 2020.
Each spring, Columbia University awards Pulitzer Prizes in seven books, drama and music categories. The winners are chosen by the Pulitzer Prize Board, which seeks to recognize excellence by eligible American writers, playwrights and composers.

All entry forms and fees must be submitted electronically. Paper forms and checks are not accepted.
Preferred receipt date for books published in the first half of the year: June 1, 2020. Final deadline for entry form and fee: October 1, 2020. Final receipt deadline for books: October 15, 2020. Drama and Music entries are due by December 31, 2020.
Entry fee: $75 per entry - paid by credit card only (MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover).
