Welcome to the entry site
for The Pulitzer Prizes in Books,
Drama and Music!
06/01/2020: We are now accepting submissions for the 2021 cycle in all five book categories. To accommodate the transition to digital book submissions, the opening of the Drama and Music competitions will be delayed until September 1, 2020. The staggered dates will support technical and procedural changes required for digital submissions.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pulitzer Prizes exclusively will accept books entered in electronic form for the 2021 awards. The change will affect the Biography, General Nonfiction, History, Fiction and Poetry Prize categories.
Books, which must be available for purchase as hard copies, also must be submitted in PDF form with a 300 MB limit. Additionally, optional supplemental multimedia items for the work's potential winner or finalist page may be submitted alongside the PDF.
For additional information, please see the announcement at Pulitzer.org or email email@example.com.
Each spring, Columbia University awards Pulitzer Prizes in seven books, drama and music categories. The winners are chosen by the Pulitzer Prize Board, which seeks to recognize excellence by eligible American writers, playwrights and composers.
